Working with Brown Sterling Builders
Do you use subcontractors?
No. We directly employ our technicians, specialists and project managers. As the general contractor we answer for the quality of all the work, so we do it right the first time.
Are estimates free?
Yes. Call (281) 416-5474 or send a request online and we'll set a time to look at the job and give you a free written bid.
What are your office hours?
Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm. We're closed Saturday and Sunday.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, check, Zelle and Venmo.
What areas do you serve?
Houston and the surrounding area from our office in Humble, including Harris, Montgomery, Fort Bend, Brazoria and Galveston counties.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Brown Sterling Builders is a licensed and insured general contractor. We're also a City of Houston certified Minority and Small Business Enterprise and an EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm.
Will you install equipment or fixtures I bought myself?
Yes. Tell us the brand and model when you call so we can confirm it fits. The warranty on anything you buy yourself comes from its manufacturer.
What brands do you install?
Most major brands. For faucets and fixtures that includes Moen, Delta, Kohler and American Standard, and for air conditioning, Carrier, Trane, Lennox and Goodman.
Can you give me an estimate for an insurance claim?
Yes. We'll look at the damage and give you a written estimate you can send to your insurance company.
Do you do roofing?
Yes. We handle roof repairs and the roofing on the porches, patio covers and additions we build. Call us to talk through your project.
Do you work with HOAs and property managers?
Yes. Our full-time maintenance division sets up a CAMI team that inspects common areas on a schedule, makes authorized repairs and follows each community's rules.
Do you work on government housing programs?
Yes. We've repaired and weatherized homes for BakerRipley and the Houston-Galveston Area Council since 2007, and we're a registered US federal contractor.
